Here ye! Here ye!
Check your e-mail lately, Badgers? Do it. What’s that in your inbox? “Get their money’s worth?” Yeah that sounds like a good idea.
It’s a town hall meeting!…and you’re all invited. In fact, your attendance is necessary to ensure UW hears the student voice before it spends that extra $250 you paid in tuition this semester. Yeah, that’s like the price of a new iPod touch. You could have had an iPod touch!
Well, get over it. Instead, your going to get an improved education. Trust me, good investment.
Or at least it could be. That really depends on you. You need to get to this town hall meeting. So get out your planners and mark down this date: Monday, September 28. That’s next week. It’s in the Student Activity Center in the building I lovingly refer to as 333 at 4:30 p.m.
And for extra star power, Dean of Students Lori Berquam will be there.
If you cannot make the town hall meeting, but you want to play a significant role in making sure the Initiative money is spent well, apply for the Madison Initiative Student Oversight Board. This board will advise the chancellor on how to spend this money. Better hurry, the available seats are limited!
