Do you have any idea how much is going down at “333”?

October 5, 2009

ZOMG! This place is a-popping!

First off, SSFC is making huge decisions multiple times a week, basically deciding the financial futures of several student organizations. This is your money, people.

The Shared Governance Committee is sacrificing their grades to get students on all of the University’s committees.

Legislative Affairs is trying to save Perkins Loans from the grinder while planning a town hall meeting for next week Tuesday to give students a chance to raise their voice about the plan to reconstruct Downtown.

The Diversity Committee is teaming up with MCSC to hold a diversity forum from 5:30-9:30 p.m. next Monday, where Steven Olikara, the freshest speaker ever, will be blessing the audience with his entrancing voice.

And the Student Elections Commission is busy organizing the fall elections for Freshmen Student Council seats and open SSFC seats. Plus there’s going to be a town hall meeting for students to meet the candidates, most likely Thursday, October 15.

And the Nominations Board is filling about a handful of prominent positions.

(collapses to the floor, gasping for air–I need to work out more)

And you know what else, the committees all have ambitious little interns working on individual projects that, trust me on this, can have a pretty big impact on campus.

This building is seething with activity and it makes me tired just being here. There’s so much effort.

When do these people study?

Anyway, it’s Monday night and the Packers are about to stomp the Vikings and some old guy. Enjoy.
