SSFC stands by their decisions and their integrity

October 6, 2009

SSFC denied Collegians for a Constructive Tomorrow eligibility for General Student Service Funds last night for the second year in a row. If you didn’t know about this you can read more here, here and here.

Rest assured SSFC did not violate viewpoint neutrality and did not consider the views of CFACT at all while deciding on their eligibility.

Long story short, CFACT violated SAC Governing Board rules twice while being on probation for having empty beer cans found in their recycling. This violation goes against GSSF regulations.

Also, and possibly more relevantly, SSFC feels some of the group’s listed direct services were not actually a direct service. CFACT listed “Stewardship” and “Campaigning” as direct services. These  are not “services.” They are more like events.
