Kicking off this week. (Updated)
We’re back! Did you miss us? Judging by the page hits I’d say “no”. But now midterms are over and I expect to be embraced warmly.
Some great things happened last week. Students got a vote on the ALRC and there was some solid representation from Legislative Affairs. Well. Played.
Student Judiciary ruled that SSFC did not give the Campus Women’s Center a proper appeal. CWC will get another appeal hearing, however, they cannot get one based on any of the complaints they already filed. Those have been found to not be procedural violations. They must appeal on another complaint they haven’t already made.
If they come up with something, expect SSFC to give them their hearing this week. I’ll let you know when as soon as I know. I would guess Thursday at the earliest. SSFC is also scheduled to finish all of the GSSF budget decisions this week. They work briskly.
ASM will also be dealing with the internal budget this week while Leg Affairs will reconcentrate on the Downtown Plan. Academic Affairs is preparing their cheaper textbook campaign and Shared Governance is looking for candidates to sit on the Search and Screen Committee to find a new UW Director of Human Resources.
And don’t forget our Wednesday night Student Council liveblog. You cuddle up with someone close to you and take turns hitting the refresh button. How romantic!
UPDATE: SSFC will hold an appeal hearing for CWC on Thursday. SSFC can only overturn the denial if there is a procedural violation.
