It’s amazing how much harder than me some (many) people work.
Not to mention how bad my grammar is.
But while I’m planning on sleeping in, going out, and shopping this weekend, the members of the Madison Initiative Student Oversight Board are planning to spend all weekend discussing the more than 100 proposals for spending the money from the tuition increase and deciding which ones to endorse. And this is after they’ve allegedly read them all. I personally have a copy of the list and it is sooooo long. I can’t even bring myself to start reading them all. You need 5 Hour Energy just to get through the list!
So, the students of the Board will begin meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday and going all day. They will also resume the meeting Sunday. So while you’re getting drunk and watching the conference championship football games all day–like me–these people will be working to ensure the extra tuition you paid/will pay goes to the best possible use.
They will be improving our university. And that is what ASM does. Nice.
If you are like the members of this board and are also a harder worker than me, please come to the meeting in the ASM conference room on the 4th floor of the SAC. Speak in open forum. Voice your opinion.
