Do not doubt the power of ASM to stimulate the masses.
After Leg Affairs spent much of the fall semester trying to create support for financial aid reforms, the Association of Big Ten Students has adopted a proposal sponsored by Chair Johnson. The ABTS is planning to hold a rally in Washington, D.C. sometime in March to bring attention to the rising costs of education.
The funniest part of this? UW doesn’t even send a delegate to ABTS but we were still able to reach out and affect their agenda and gain their support.
Big congrats goes to Leg Affairs for continuing this agenda until they could find some allies. Now, the students of the entire conference got our backs. It’s on like Donkey Kong!
