Interested in working with Shared Gov? Apply by Wednesday!

September 20, 2010

Shared Governance is accepting applications for about 40 committees with open student seats. Students on these committees work with administrators on topics like athletics, diversity, health care, admissions, transportation, and more.

Shared Governance exists to provide students the opportunity to shape the administrative policies that affect them.

“You don’t just have a right to be involved in it; you have a duty to be involved in it,” Chair Kyle VandenLangenburg said.

VandenLangenburg plans to make Shared Governance more powerful this year by facilitating communication between committees and uniting the student voice.

“We have a lot of tentacles all over campus. We want to make sure those are effective lines for the student voice,” VandenLangenburg said.
