Lt. Governor Lawton to talk on campus about citizen diplomacy

Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton will talk to students on Monday about studying, volunteering, working and traveling abroad. Along with other panelists, she will discuss the state’s role in citizen diplomacy.

Following the presentation and discussion, Lawton will present the findings to the U.S. Summit and Initiative for Global Citizen Diplomacy.

The event is cosponsored by the ASM Legislative Affairs committee, and is open to all students.

When: 3:30 p.m. Monday, October 18

Where: The Pyle Center, room 335

  • Professor Mark Johnson, professor of education with research in citizen diplomacy
  • Captain Joe Davison, National Guard Bureau
  • Kim Johnson, representing the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Madison
  • Debbie Sharnak, Lt. Governor’s Office
